  for a starter, why don't you just go try those "beef noodles" stalls at food courts...

  try kway teow with either the "raw" (sliced beef) or the "cooked" (stewed beef) and with soup.. this is the basic and gives you most of the good taste of the beef and broth...

  my favourite beef noodle stall is at the basement of the Army Market at Beach Road.. not to be confused with the one on the 1st floor (which some prefer)

  the broth at the basement stall is more subtle and light.. the one upstairs is a bit overpowering and the stallkeeper seems to be very rude

  I think their market rate is about 150 bucks for 200g.

  Actually if you're looking for beef that's affordable and doesn't have a very strong taste, I would recommend Yoshinoya's beef bowl.

  Maybe abit cheapo but I like!

  

  In fact, generally beef that's cooked in the Jap way is nice! So go to any Jap restaurants for your beef!

  some of the stuff at McShit.. is some kinda abomination...

  but really, beef.. just start out with the stuff at the "Western Food" stalls at the markets, then try out stuff like Botak Jones before trying out the really good and more expensive stuff.. not to say that the expensive stuff is definitely better but sometimes, you do pay for quality

  Ohh that one.. I always go for the la mian xiao long bao but i realised that no ppl wanna enter that angus restaurant maybe it's just too expensive
