Like a sizable portion of Singaporean Chinese, I am one who practice a hybric of taoism and buddhism...
Not a very religious buddhist, I dont practice permanent vegeterian and I am not a vegan but I try to stay away from beef produ=cts...
Recently, i read about a-not-so recent debate with regards to whether mcfood have beef exact...
They mainly focus on the fries as such...
Well, my favourite mcfood is the fillet-o-fish and there are no indication as to whether the non-beef products like fillet-o-fish and fries are beef-free, no cross-contamination...
anyone can enlighten me on this???
:)
then go KFC lah.

The FACT is, UNLESS YOU ARE MUSLIMS, Mc Donald won't give a damn care to the religious dietary concerns of the buddhist, taoist and Hindus even as they form the majority of the population.
UNLESS YOU ARE A MUSLIM, Mc Donald won't fuck care even if you make noise to express your unhappiness.
See my point?????
Both the muslims and hindus are minorities in singapore, but the muslims have halal foodcourt dedicated to them while the hindus have to eat at places like Mc Donald where beef is handled and sold like hindus business can be dispensed with.
Any McDonald's staff here that can answer the q's?
Personally, if i'm that strict about whether or not there is cross contamination of beef products to the level of oil, cutlery etc., i would simply not eat at McDonald's. A splash of oil here and there, hands touching this and that....a thousand possibilities. So again, depends how strict you wanna be.
Long time ago when i was the same (no beef bcause of religion), i simply didn;t want the actual beef in my mouth - wasn't super strict on cross contamination.
I was wondering right.... about this whole vegetarianism. If you dont eat meat, aren't you not doing your part of the cycle of life ?IF you dont eat them, they cannot be reincarnated. lol

Hey Dude, the whole point of this topic is not concern so much about the rationale behind the dietary restriction. It is more about FAIRNESS and existence of PHOBIA which breeds DOUBLE STANDARD. Okkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk........
If you ask this questions about vegetarianism, you should as well ask what is the rationale behind not eating pork. Not only PORK is dirty, all other animals-derived meat are also dirty lahhhhhhhhhhh. RIGHT???????????????
Is it that forbiding the consumption of pork more ridiculous???????
Don't think the TS is focussed on the vegetarian side of things guys.
Dont take this topic towards religious discussion. Mc Donalds, KFC and other Fast food restaurants are much famous for thier meat products. So if you are concerned with meat and you cant eat then simply just avoid it and try to choose some other places. Another thing is that fast food or junk food is not even good for health, so try avoiding it. I have seen some failed products of Mc Donalds on internet, and i have also tried some of them. After then i quit eating fast food.
then just eat their salads lor..
They use vegetable oil and not beef dripping in the deep fryers here. But I'd still stay away from McCrap's. It's not fit for human or animal consumption.

Mcdonald is very transparent about their food. You can find this out at their website.
There is no fried beef in Mcdonald.
They have oil for fry fries only in a tank and one for the fry fish filet in another.
have la, big mac & cheeseburgers are some examples..

Here.. have a chill pill. Its a legitimate question. No one is forcing u to answer it. Have a little humour.
its best not to eat at all if you worry so much
when you eat western food anywhere do you get assurance they dont cross contaminate? i am not surprised if anyone fry the beef and the other meats on the same pan.
so do you avoid all western food stalls? the same applies for all other eateries that serve beef. like frying beef and other meat on the same wok.
in short, what you dont know wont hurt you. or 知者罪.

Lokey ,
can post the website here...???
the one that i saw was not really clear... Singapore one larh...
dragg ,
知者罪
that's what a lot of ppl whom i have asked recently tell me... hehehe...
Loor,
the cross-containmination point...most restaurants handle beef and well , it is quite hard to know what goes on for sure in the kitchens...but not so stricts larh...
but i mainly asking about the more obvious stuff larh......
like if use beef extract or not and different fryer......
hoping for more transparent information from singapore mcs and the other fast food restaurants
