i am sure many of us have been asked by fruit sellers if we want the fruit (say rambutan, longan etc) with or without the twigs.
apart from the concern on the weight (all sold by weight) is there any other reason why they ask that?
does having the twig mean the fruit is fresher?
i googled but cant find anything useful.
not sure if it applies to all fruits but when buying persimmons, oranges, those with twigs attached (and cut at an angle, around 2cm) supposed to be more fragrant and the fruit can be kept "fresh" for a longer time

This is the first time I heard of this info. Got any more advice on buying fruits?
