Where to find good malay food in Sg?

  Hello all I'm a chinese girl with a malay guy and I wanna surprise him for his birthday by cooking his favorite dish: ayam masak lemak cili padi. Since I hardly eat malay food, I wanna know where I can get really good and authentic malay food (especially ayam masak lemak cili padi) before I cook for him so I know how it's supposed to taste like and taste good too.

  Gelang Serai... wide variety of malay food and freshly made pastry.

  Marine Parade central hawker centre blk 84...Plenty of malay chicken dishes to choose from. teh trik and teh alia boleh!

  Adam road hawker centre...another malay food paradise.

  now april... reno till next year means CV having big reno wor...

   

  I use to like CV as somewhere abit old school de... if they turn it to something modern then it just looks wierd >__>

  .....yes big big reno, most likely early next year completion. Not sure is it modern, just prepare for price increase.

  I highly recommend you go to this shop called Warung Pariaman. Its near the Sultan Mosque there. But you have to come early at 9am or 10 am because last time i went at 12+ the food finish already. Its very nice. Alot of people go there to eat. Authentic Indonesian food. I think if Im Seetoh, i give 6 chopsticks means die die must try.

  now that u mentioned it, blk 16 hawker centre in bedok south is also under renovation. Do u know reno until when?
