Crappy Service at Edo Sushi at Thompson Plaza

hi all.....
just wanted to warn all those who like Japanese food and sushi to avoid patronising the Edo Sushi at the Thompson Plaza...
the service was horrible and the staff on duty were an utter embarrassment to service staff in Singapore...
on the 3rd of May, i patronised the branch of Edo Sushi at Thompson Plaza, thinking that it would provide the same service standard that i got from other branches.
Little did i know that the waiters and waitresses would choose to sit at the table across from mine and pay NO ATTENTION to my constant waving for service.
they would stare at my table and then start singing to the music playing over the system in the restaurant... and worse was that the guy and girl singing.... were obviously tone-deaf...
another table that had left after i arrived, was not cleared of it's plates and rubbish all over the table for 20mins, and the only person to serve and clean up the entire place was the Duty Manager... thus, i had to even walk up to the manager to ask her to let me pay the bill....
in hindsight, maybe i should have just ;eft without paying the service charge and the bill.....

Edo sushi, why try that ? With same $$, U can try somewhere else better lah !

i have also had bad experiences at Genki Sushi at Tampines Mall...lousy services and poor mannered waitresses

Poor thing...the manager have to doo all the work while the staff relak...

Service standards in Singapore are sometimes a disgrace... there are these everywhere in the world, however, bad service in Singapore seem to be the norm rather than the exception
Management need to recognise that bad service will cause the downfall of their establishment even if they have the best product.
Here, Edo sushi seems to have lost a few customers... and by word of mouth, more will know... and after a while, their customer base is eroded because of the rude staff.
I think before the management starts cursing the economy, they should look at themselves and their own staff. Good service will ensure a loyal customers who will come back or at least try to come back.
Oh well, as a sushi lover, I'll give Edo at Thompson a miss. Looks like they have lost a potential customer in me.. and if this forum all follow suit, Edo may have lost a whole lot of revenue! -

dun relli like Edo or Genki
still prefer Sakae.......
but always quite crowded....so can understand if the staff are always busy.......
but at least i no have any bad experience with them yet....
perhaps a couple of wrong orders (mix up with adjacent table) and finding a strand of hair in my croquette........hehehehehe
