Stand up for Singapore workers

I sincerely believe that anybody who works in the city (salary below $2000) has to face this dilemma every day. 'What to eat? Where to go?' and within a limited time too. Problem is, they have to pay for meals that are not to their satisfaction. Understanding from both sides - the hawker and the customer. There are always 2 sides of the coin. Hawkers always have an excuse not to give quality food and yet raise the price because his rent has gone up, or the petrol price has gone up or it's hard to get local helper. On the other hand, customers complain about increased food prices, unsatisfactory food, smaller portion, and ingredients that are not fresh. In the end, who is the loser? the hawker? Customer? Or both? Have anyone of you have a good comment on your lunch that is satisfying and below $4? One that you come back again tomorrow or you will tell your friends about it? Does anybody out there understand the situation of the poor hungry workers?

Do you know what time do these workers come back from work? Mentally they are drained, physically they are tired and they have been frustrated since lunch; they have to rush with the crowd, look frantically for seats normally 'chopped' by tissue paper, rush through the meal, then rush back to the office with a pile work that is endless. I believe you have not gone through this yet. Are you a worker? Have a heart!

dont make me lah arh. my that primary 6 ex GM boss even funnier. he and his o-level and primary 6 croonies whant go out lunch and chitchat, like what written here book seats with tissue papaer. comon lunch break all people want to eat - cos of this type of people that's why no seat and crowded. when you take away and just find sonewhrer to sit down and eat-people say you weird.
comon on work only afte rtha t and ofice hours who wnats to doanythin else more - so immatured and silly,

u from malaysia?thats why u call spore a city.well..u shuld ask for $2500 b4 accepting the job.u diont accept and wait,the company and all of spore will raise salary when advertised to $2100.

Thank you Troublemaker2005 for understanding. Who wants to do anything after an exhausting day at work? Most would get to reach home around 8pm. All they want to do is shower, take dinner and hit the sack. (if they are the luckier ones who do not have to check their emails before going to Dreamland) Ssummer hill, you have added sauce to my rice. Thank you. Hopefully Army 21 can see the point of view. I am true blue Singaporean. Why should I talk about life in the city if I am not a citizen of that country? Will you stand up for Singapore workers, Army 21? u are a sporean?ok,then forget what i just said.well i used to werk like 12 hrs non stop per dayin spore.just get a small oven,put a dark soy sauce steak inside and grill /oven medium rare for 20 mins while u take a bath.eat with bread sandwich and call it a day.it gives u more strength next day.workers rights can only be done outside istana,anything else is going to bed.
