It was last year that a group of my friends and I went to this place called "The Magic of ChongQing Hot Pot". The restaurant at Tanglin Shopping Centre 4th flr. They served Ma La steamboat style. We didn't think it was very hot but you may wanna try.
Not too sure if it's still around. -

Hmmm... any other recommendations abt the Ma La restaurants?
Saw those real hot ones on Taiwanese TV and was really anticipating when we went to the restaurant I mentioned as above...turnout not so hot leh. But the food is a interesting mix. -

how abt the taiwanese shop in geylang? i went there once but din get to see if they've ma la steamboat....you can try there.

Yeah, the one across Bugis Junction is excellent. You don't even have to go grab your own food, they serve it to you
Just tried it last week. They are having a special discount now, $16.90 i think. -
I dont get it, why go to suntec, bugis, geylang etc for a "MA LA", isn't Kranji the right place? there are horses there and it is more appropriate to get their droppings there. Suntec bugis or Geylang do not have any horse, chey........ where got "MA LA" maybe "REN La" at their toilets.
