hi i would like to comment that the tung lok tim sum at liang court is simply superb...
though a bit pricey.... but actually only few cents more than normal...but quality...much diff....
har gow is $4.20 --> awesome.. skin and prawn all superb work by chef...
in short all is great .. .but still dun have one of my fav "steam beancurd with prawn filling and meat in oyster sauce" sorry i dun know the actual name for it so go for longer desc..
awesome is the word again so ppl if u guys have the NKF voucher.. do go and Eat and try...service is pretty good there too but quite hard to reach there.. out of the way place..
however i was using the UOB voucher i redeemed after 6 yrs of spending $6000... haha.. super long rite
and also the total bill me for is $55.50 for 2 ppl..

actually the West Mall Foodcourt has got dis store that sells not bad TIm Sum too....especially the prawn filled chee jhong fun....yummy~~~~

but just tried the one at UIC buidling tung lok also (noble house)
not as great as the one i had in liang court
the har gow in LC is phenemonal...
awesome...
and slightly cheaper than noble hous some more..
though the service there sucks , NOBle house service very good...
but food no good....so choose food not service heeeeeeeee -
But for value for money, I still think Red Sar is still better, price is slightly below average but the food is great

nice meh red star.. i went once before.. queue super long.. but the food only so so... and abit not hot... i prefer hot rather than warm... but its very hk style lor so if u like such style den red star is for u..
its around the people park market there chin swee road..
and crystal jade.. yah the one at taka very nice also crystal jade palace... not kitchen...
i go to tung lok coz got discount mah haha.. the NKF one .. -
Crystal Jade is confusing sometimes. I tried the budget CJ Kitchen at Basement Ngee Ann City and it was ... not good. Though cheaper but considering food and service, not an enjoyable experience overall.

PErsonally , my fav dim sum will be tunglok's teahouse at china square, for 15 nett , u can have a eat all u can dim sum !!!! its cheap and the food is also veri gd. Service is also not too bad ! worth a try !

actually i would like to share wif u all my favourite tim sum restaurant... it's at "Hua Ting", at Orchard Hotel, just next to Orchard Delfi...
I like the Ha Kaws there cos their prawns are really big! very worth it.. and my personal favourite is the mango and chicken tart.
Of coz, since it is in a hotel-restaurant, the ambience is definitely worth appreciating..
this is just my personal preference.. maybe others will condemn say a bit pricey or not nice to eat.. but there's a first time for everything rite? -

china sq $15 buffet was a disappointment... not much variety n not nice... personal fav is still lei gardens at chijmes...

lei gardens is ala carte... but trust me, its worth the monies.....

The price of $15 is only valid from 3 to 5 pm Hi tea time , no Buffet for lunch only normal pricing. Hi butterflyray24, how much per person ? I really like Lei Garden, I rated it best in S;pore True Hong Kong Std can beat Tung Lok anytime. I tried the weekend Tim sum @ orchard damn good but price is avg abt $28 per person but the premium quality food . Lei garden will appeal to those looking for hi quality food & service @ a slightly above avg rest. price .
