well i guess marina still got the best 1 n zhen fa from clementi had open a new branch there recently n it cost$12 wif free flow of satay n other good fingure food too

This is a "steamboat only" coffeshop /restaurant that has a long histroy since the 1970s , located @ the basement in Golden Mile plaza along beach rd ( if can't locate ask the folks around there they sure to be able to tell u the directions - can't really see the rest from outside the bldg - quite old bld & @ nite quite dim)Originally posted by Do|pHinE:Where got nice n cheap steamboat other than Marina?

They serve beef, cockles, eggs, Tang Oh, chicken rice, Hainese chicken, pig "spares", pork, prawns , satay.
The coffee is quite good - Hainese coffee & Chicken rice are the best here. Of course steamboat is good too with a flavour of the good old days - check out the dinning atmosphere there then u 'll understand what I meant --- seems to be in a total different world.
I think average per person is abt $10 - $12 max.
I can't remember the name but there;s only one there .

i jus had one at tiong bahru - outram : oppo the tiong bahru mkt, last sat. it was quite quiet, wich makes it nice, and cosy. and $15 per person so not too bad. quite like the place.

THere's one at bugis.. near the seyu there.. have to cross the road...
This shop also serve hainese chicken rice, and of cos hainese chicken. The pot is those old type metal one... inside they use chacoal... chacoal really power...
Nice steamboat there also... tat time 4 person cost $50... -

yes this steamboat is definitely one of the best ard. I've been going there since i was a kid. Standard there has not dropped. Opp Bugis ..towards the direction of Raffles Hosp and the nice tall building. -
Yet Con restaurant at Purvis Street behind Raffles Hotel. And all time fave is Golden Mile. Coca, not that good, especially the sting in your pocket.

another 1 not bad is inside marina sq.. nearby the KFC.. quite nice and fresh..
pasir ris park u go fisherman village not hte steamboat but the zhi cha quite nice.. the area where got live band de..
the beer onli $18 per jar.. quite cheap.. and u eat the bbq stingray.. nice..
the liveband sing by filipinos and dey can sing chinese and hokkien song.. damn superb.. can dedicate song too -
