Poor Service and Good Service in Restaurant

Wonder if anyone has poor service before? Me actually at a bad experience at Sakae Sushi ( Suntec Branch). All the service staff services was good. Helpful and friendly but the manager, a fat guy has very bad attitute and not service oriented at all. Ask him something and he answered u bad rudely and badly. Foul mouth!
Stared at us then smoke outside the restaurant like a fatso hooligan. My group of friends and me will never step into that restaurant again. -
Poor "fatso" must have not been used to the idea of being a "Manager" and probably had no experience in "face to face" dealings with customers.
How on earth did he get this position ?
Could the "Fatso" be the "Head Chef" being rotated into the Restaurant, to take over the "face-to-face" dealings for the day or week. Pity him and the customers for that duration.
Was the "Fatso" a Singaporean ?
Perhaps your complaint would have been best addressed to the Restaurant, then at least he is aware.
There is no harm in Visiting the restaurant again, if the food is good and the price is acceptable. Ask the other Service Staff about the "Fatso", who probably would also have given the other staff a bad time too - unless, of course, it just happen to be the "Fatso" off-color on the day of your visit.
If the "Fatso" still remain offensive, during your second visit, you can always ask for the Head of the Restaurant - if it is not the "Fatso" - or ask for the Owner's Address, for a formal complaint to be made. -
i just experienced bad service at some Sudanese restaurant ard Far East Square area...
1) my fren asked if they were serving food, at the entrance (as it looks relli quiet)..the waitress led us in and was asking us where would we like to sit instead. my fren repeated 2 times if they were serving food, she didnt answer....
2) my fren was not having much, so we ordered 4 dishes and rice for me. the order taker said it is too little. then when the food came, we couldnt finish it...so much for estimation.
3) my fren was not having rice, the (1) waitress nearly served rice for her...
WTF!!!

gd service to me is when the following occur:
1. when the captain taking ur order actually stops to advise u when u've ordered too much fd
2. goes out of his/her way to ensure customer satisfaction such as going ard and chatting with customers to check on the food service and taste buds.
3. service with a smile
4. recommends an alternative restaurant when the restaurant you wish to go to is full and waiting might take you 20+ min.

For good & professional service - try Lei Garden but quite Ex ( but good value food really True Hong KOng style) Only 3 rest in S;pore 2 in orchard plaza/shopping area & one @ ChjimeOriginally posted by culinaist:Wonder if anyone has poor service before? if you don't like the service, you can always choose not to pay the service charge
that's what i did once.. went to this restaurant where the service was terrible, my sis and i simply skipped paying the service charge. but i can't remember which one it was.. so long ago. -
wanted to try outback steakhouse, went there n waited 4 quite long but wasnt attended even though the waiter n waitress r available n they jz continue to ignore. after tat jz went in n approach the waitress then she oso buay hue until i ask her for service then she jz rudely tell me to wait outside. damn... after experiencing tis bad service, got fed up n left...

Want cheap and not very good food but with good service try PETALS. Its at Treasury Building.

Ya...Its is being run by training officers and Shatec students on training...the food is not bad la...ate there b4 and worked there b4 too..hehe
