  Sakae definitely...for their buffet with yummy desserts. And fried tofu! Seriously addictive..feel like eating now

  sakae seems to have the most variety, but their food not really good now leh. they were much much better last time. i prefer sushi tei menu items.....
  
  genki is not fantastic also...edo so so only.

  gave in to temptation today ...
  had lunch at Sakae Sushi.......
  Fried maki...
  Soft shell crab...
  Fried tofu..
  chauwanmushi...
  hand roll with soft shell crab...
  
  yummy !!
  the coloured plates at $1.90...and premium red plates at 6.50...it is reasonably cheap !!

  Any outlet which offers all plates irregardless at $1.50 will be good enough.

  i used to like sakae sushi (i call it qing wa pai...frog brand)
  
  now genki sushi has got cheaper and thicker salmon sushi/sashimi....i prefer genki now...
  
  but i also got another option....more expensive...that is to makan at plaza park royal hotel at beach road....unlimited salmon sashimi, soft shell crab, shark fins etc....abt $30 per pax with taxes...on sunday nights... available all days...cheaper tho'

  just had sushi at a restaurant at hotel meridian(the old kopitiam).
  all their sushiat $1.50 per plate. Ikura also included. but no sashimi. soft shell crab temaki also very nice. alot of variety. but the presentation of the foods are not up to standards. they serves maki at all 6 pcs of different heights. some servings are larger and some are smaller. but what's the diff when they still end up in your stomache? just choose the bigger portions

  there is this Hoshigaoka Jap restaurant serve pretty nice and good food,...but dont have conveyor belt. maybe slight high class so dont have.

  Wah lau eh..... I should have read this post before going to edo sushi..... Its just food for the dogs.... I really felt like puking after eating their buffet.... their fried stuff are ice-cold, too salty, and rotting!! urgh...

  my choice is suki sushi.... opp parkway, next to k'box...
  
  Everything at $1.80 including sashimi(3 pieces) except the noodles and set dinner.... food is fresh... i always get crunchy ika sashimi there while i get some slimey ones elsewhere... orgh!!

  I tried both Sakae at wheelock and heeren...didn't like both, not fresh enough. Prefer the Sento at Starhub building (centrepoint) and East Coast. Their set meals are definitely worth the money. A lot of japanese businessman patronise the places. Must make reservations on weekends night. Once eat there, will not like sakae any more.

  I think Suki sushi can definitely give Sakae a run for their money. Service is good, and they have extra items like takopachi,salads, shisamo, etc which are sooo yummy! Plus all sorts of sashimi are on the buffet menu too! *feels hungry just thinking abt it*

  Think Maru Maru is the best. It's the little shop in Marina Sq near to the arcade. Free flow soft shell crabs is the draw. Their chawanmushi is really heavenly. And the best thing? They warm your unagi sushi for you before serving. Unagi sushi is in the buffet but not on belt, so request and always served hot and fresh. Prices abit more ex than Sakae, Edo and Genki.
  
  Cheap conveyor sushi can go to Ondo by Genki at Meridien Foodcourt. Cheaper than Genki.
