jap buffet?

  hi,
  
  any one been to kushin bo, the jap buffet restaurant at suntec skygarden? is it nice and wat's the price like?

  Went there once but it was donkey years ago... think in 2000/2001. Well, it's like the jap version of Marche, where you will get a card to record the food that you order from the various counters/stalls, then pay at the exit using the card when you are done.
  
  Prices were pretty steep, around $15-20 I think, and I din see much variety then. Ended up eating a kids' set for less than $10 (cannot remember price liao) but it was really cute, with yakitori sticks, a bottle of yakult and a free magnet! Served in a cartoon rocket place too
  
  Good ambience cos a lot of cosy corners for nice chats, but guess unless you are on a generous budget of around $20-25, you won't want to start there for long cos cannot eat anything cheap there, haha...

  sushi so-so, tempura so-so, chawanmushi not bad....

  Have anyone tried a japanese buffet at new park hotel? there is japanese buffet at New park cafe in the hotel. Price is $24+++.
  
  I know there is a international buffet at her sister hotel "Plaza Royalpark hotel" at beach road and is pretty good but has few japanese cusine so i am wondering if the new park hotel jap buffet is good.

  its not bad, but the one at suntec basement around the fountain is even better.

  Try Shima at Goodwood Park hotel, price abt $40+ (cooked by Chef) per person.
  Its a teppanyaki buffet, lunch or dinner.. 1st round will be cooked for you without taking orders, next round you can order the dish from the 1st round dishes.

  i tried new park hotel's jap buffet quite some time back. my impression of it is ...erm most foods are japanese but not very nice. so i only ended up going back n forth for sashimi and tempura.
  
  i recc its sister hotel plaza park royal at beach road. tho not 100% jap, but still got better food. last time went during cny period, got salmon yusheng...interesting. and at then they were serving chinese foodfare...
  
  i want to try vienna and sakura toa payoh...anyone koes the sakura toa payoh pricing? for sunday dinners...
