Every time we cook and eat till quite sian liao lo... Then if go hunt for recipe books, also dunno nice not... Wait try liao, bu hao chi (Not nice to eat...)

Pancakes:
Ingredients:
150g plain flour 1/2 tsp baking powder pinch of salt 40g caster sugar 2 eggs, beaten 250ml milk butter or margarine
Method:
1. Combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. 2. Add in the milk n mix throughly. 3. Add in beaten egg n whisk or beat the batter till smooth. 4. Melt the butter/maragarine and pour in a bit of pancake batter inside. 5. Flick the pancake n cook the other side...
Tao suan
Ingredients:
300g mung beans (lek tau) 3 andan leaves, tied into knots 2.2 litres water 300g sugar 50g water chestnut powder 1 cup water 1/4 tsp salt 4-6 dough fritters (you tiao), cutted into small pieces
Method:
1. Rinse mung beans than soak in water for 2 - 3 hours. drain. Steam tog wif pandan leaves over high heat till mung bean softened.
2. Boil water, sugar n steamed pandan leaves in pot. Stir till sugar dissolved.
3. Dissolve water chestnut powder in 1 cup water. Lower heat. Stir in water chestnut powder solution and salt till syrup is thickened. Add steamed mung beans and stir well.
4. Transfer tau saun into serving bowls. Serve wif dough fritters.
* If u don want serve st way, dun add in the mung beans tog wif the syrup... coz it will soften it, then all the mung beans smashed...
