Japanese Ramen, there are 2 japanese franchise in SG that you can go to, highly recommended by me:
1)
Ousho @ Cuppage TerraceNo frills open-air shop without the aircon, but nice ramen and gyoza. Great set lunch at $8 in afternoon and damn filling $12 dinner set.

Ichibantei @ Robertson QuayMy current favorite ramen haunt now! Few people know of this place...most clientele are japanese expats. Gorgeous sapporo style ramen with great side-dishes! Ramen is fat n juicy, the Tonkotsu or charshu ramen are to die for, and the 3/4-boiled eggs used in tonkotsu ramen are heavenly! Can even request for additional toppings or extra noodle portion for a small fee. For desserts got the usual green tea ice cream or order a ice cram cone where they give the cone to you and you go self-service at the ice cream machine. Price is reasonable if you dun order too many things, lol. The fare here in this restaurant are authentic, therefore soups can taste pretty strong for some people (japanese ramen have very strong taste...sg version have been diluted down to suit our taste).

Kyonichi & BeppuThis 2 restaurants are nearby each other at Far East Square and China Square. Both serve the same variety of ramen as Ajisen, the Kyuushu white noodle type, which is different from Sapporo yellow noodles. Kyonichi's fare is similar to Ajisen while Beppu emphasizes more on spicy soups. Not too bad themselves but I'm not a great fan of kyuushu ramen.
