Joo Chiat the ulu ulu private housing estate got one kopitiam. Their noodles are homemade(it was homemade when I last ate there 3yrs back).

There is one good one at Everitt Road estate
The noodles is really handmade, and u can taste the difference from other normal wantan stalls
plus they give u one bowl, eat finish noodles, go collect soup.... -

The one at joo chiat has a branch at toa payoh lorong 5 food centre. For those who cannot go joo chiat, go toa payoh at least and try fei fei wanton noodles. I tried it last night, its been more than a year since i last ate at joo chiat, so i cannot tell you the quality has improved or not, you have to judge yourself. Whats the serving like you ask? Just like joo chiat, a small bowl of noodles, chili in your spoon, stiff char siew, and 2 miserly small pieces of wanton.
Why the condiments like fcuk you ask? Because you only want to touch the noodles. -

Eat fei fei again, noodles passed, char siew still fail, wanton's still that miserly 2, order big bowl $3 lagi worse, 2 fried ones, 2 boiled ones. They getting real stingy with the soup. Still 9/10, coz we all eat it just for the noodles.

for "local" taste the most authentic is at lavendar sq

The hawker centre at Haig Rd, near Paya Lebar MRT, got a few stalls there, my fav was the stall with the ah pek. The noodles were springy yet soft. Noodle finished oredi still got some char siew left.
score 7.5 out of 10
Hawker centre at Bedok Nrth, near Post Office, above average, 7 out of 10 IMHO lah -

When i was a child,
toa payoh blk 124, lorong 1 coffeeshop stall got sell very good wantan mee... the owners are brother and sister... they are quite old... but after renovation of that coffeeshop I wonder where they moved to...
