i know this rest<> from my friend at <>, and so i looking forward to try the cheese fondues. but you knoe what??? yeap the food there are nice any i like it BUTTT the service are totaly suck!!!
some are GOOD BUT there are also BAD want!!! if i can remember i think is the tall girl with long hair!! she's suck and bad service!! but i'll still be there for the food and i think this rest should do something about it. not everyone feel the same like me. but i do like the waiter i think the name is...Raymond?? if i still remember. he's a friendlly waiter with a smile..

yeap.. i had been there once on a Sunday afternoon and thought all was fine, not particularly impressive but nothing revolting too.. -
not very bad, it's just about the service.... and what i can say is hope they can do something about that... because i don't wish others got this service too...

next time u're at suntec, try masion basque. its lovely. and service is pretty nice too.

The problem with maison basque, is that it is very unnoticeable and hard to spot. They put it the corner where you cant see the shop front.

i tell u, the boss there ( a female married to a swiss) dun wear bra one...den oways like to wear low cut dress but she's got no breast one...not say dun have...but small lor...den she sux totally man...every mth u can see in the papers dat dey r hiring waitress/waiters/cooks/managers...u can roughly guess y...
b4 me, there's this bunch of all newbies...but the manager was dere quite sometime liaoz...but he quit oso...den came this new manager, joined same time as me...he's a malay...very good one...when it's his time to work morning shift, he comes open the door, den tell us to slowly do..no hurry cos boss not here today...den we juz do our own part lor...den those older batch of waiters n waitress came back to help cos of the new manager lor...
den he very frenly n good to all of the staffs one...include malay, indian and chinese...he's not biased or wad lor...den the boss see as like 1 family lydat, dunnope she jealous or wad, she sack the malay waiter lor...for dunnoe wad reason...den the indian waiter left cos the malay waiter was his only fren dere...den only left 5 waiters n waitress( 2 male, 3 female)...
den the manager find her very strange lor...the fella did ntng wrong, but juz sack him lydat...
den got once i was drying the plates, den the boss purposely knocked my elbow, heng i fast enuff to catch the plate...den i look at her n say sorry...but she say "sorry doesnt cure..one more time of ur carelessness im gonna cut ur pay" den i was like

den 2nd time was on a friday, i was doing afternoon shift...it was also my last day wif dem...there was this family of unreasonable customers, 1 ah ma, 2 chilldren, 1 maid, 1 daughter in law...den as usual lor...i pass the menu to dem...den told dem to take their time to look at the menu...can call me anything they've decided...den 5 mins ltr, the dotter in law called me to order food, she asked the ah ma "wad u wanna eat?"
ah ma: "i wan hor fun!!!"
DIL" here dun have hor fun~ here only got western food de...
ah ma: dun have horfun den open business for wad??
DIL to maid : go food court buy hor fun for ah ma
maid to DIL: i dunnoe whr's the food court!!!
den i was liek standing dere for 15 mins, n dey keep asking for hor fun...den the kids playing wif the menu...the DIL keep ordering n cancelling the orders...
den another 10 mins ltr (imagine i was dere for almost 30 mins), i cfm their order, dey all said correct...my boss was sitting in another corner nia..she saw the whole thing lor...den she said to me "sara, i see dat u r standing here for very long time..."
den i told her dey keep ordering n cancelling their orders n the ah ma keep wanting hor fun...not my fault oso mah...
den she diam diam...den when their order came out, the DIL say " i din order this!!!" okie...i go check wif the chef lor...den came back, i cecke dwif their orders again...the DIL say correct...den i came back wif their orders, the freaking ah ma say " this one not wad i want one!!!" the children say "jie jie, ur food too hot liaoz...i cant eat" too hot as in juz came out from the stove...
den the DIL say " i din order this!!!!!!!"
den i hack care i call my boss come...WIF the paper which i kept writing n cancelling their orders....den the DIL very cb...say " ur service is so bad...i din order spegetti n ur waitress keep giving me dat" but wad she ordered IS spegatti!!!!!! 
the boss told me " uve been standing @ the table for so long but u keep givin them the wrong order...wad's wrong wif u??"
but i got lots of witness lor...
den she sacked me cos of the unreasonable idiots...den i juz walk away on the spot... my class mate n the manager went off wif me....cos dey all saw wad happened exactly...
den after we all left, she was badly in need of servers...den wad i heard from the neighbouring restaurants is dat all the serveres very fucked up one oso...
almost every mth oso got new batch of ppl.... -

btw, last time when i was dere, there's this chef, he accidently spill a plate of bologanese on the dirty floor, den instead of doing a new plate, he juz picked up from the floor n serve... -

This restaurant has been taken over by new management during mid '2002. I suppose by flaming the restaurant is not a good idea. I suppose u work before mid'02. I suppose the ' Disgusting Chef' u mentioned named 'xxffexy', am I right ?
This new management team is owned by a professional Chef now and I do know him directly. Not trying to help things like that but just like to make things clear. I do admit the previous team before mid '2002 is a problematic group but not this new team.
As for that previous owners , they are gone already so lets not flame this new team. My friend hope that you can vouch for the time presence when u r wif the company and testify the incident time that take place. Ur help will be greatly appreciated.
As for Kissy, my friend came to know abt the bad service u experience and would like to apologize for that matter. But I do know most of his staff is very attentive to customer needs. I am sure u do get his other server's service as well except for that tall lady u had bad experience wif .I can vouch that most patrons who visit after the new team came in has very good experience in the restaurant.
I hope that all dear forumers Bros and Sis continue to support this new team.

your friend?? than why you'r the one helping him say all this ...... ?? is he your best friend?? i not trying to say bad thing about your friend restaurant.. but what i say is true... hope the next time i visit wll not be the same like last time ... and i believe the new team is betta than past few year.. cause i had been there with my mum for few times... and now think only few are old staff the rest are all new.. m i right?? if they'r really new than ask your friend to teach them the right way to serve...

The new owner is my chef friend in Shatec. To be honest , he dun really used computer or even the net. I just happen to see this post and reflect to him on this incident and he feels bad abt it .
See that u dine out often usually, service staff in Singapore is one of the most highly turn over rate job cause most ppl here perceive it as a low graded job compare to the youth in Europe. Put urself in a shoe of a restauratuer , u will not have a lot of time in managing high turn over rate. My friend is lucky enough to keep some good staffs that work with him since he took over I suppose..
Anyway he like to apologize for that experience with that server that serve u sincerely.. I am oso a restauratuer myself and I know how he feels and most importantly u as the customer feels.. I am sure both him and me would like to be served nicely and end up walking the restaurant with good memory.
From the post u reply, sure that u have given them a chance and would visit Swiss Culture again

Anyway, just did a marketing project for another restaurant.
And adding my experience with some restaurants, it shouldnt be too difficult neither is it too easy to have a staff who are dedicated to staff service.
Most of them manage to have customer dedicated staff with very low turnover.
Perhaps ur management should invest more time, effort and money in training and getting long time staffer. Or add incentive for staff who provides good customer service would be good. -

Raymond is wif me now. In fact both of us as restaurant owners fully agree wif wat u say esp sometime one bad apple spoil the whole crate. To be honest both of us are working right in wif our staffs . We in fact tried our best to train our staffs to the very best service is defintely a plus in our ruling.
Like wat I mention in the earlier thread is like service in Sg indeed is down esp wif the miserable wages to the workers. In fact nowadays we actually came up wif schemes like attain certain target and share wif the staffs ( of course of reachable and realistic targets ) But wat to do wif the economic downturn nowadays to the answer of the low wages to the service industry cause ppl are more $$$ conscious nowadays even to food esp to those who dun dine out often.

It's okie if u do not identify urself but I will assure u that Swiss Culture Restaurant will not do such a thing. Raymond will be in most of the time in the restaurant and never such things will happen. Most ppl in the hotel and food industry professionals will know wat kind of person he is ( not that I am helping him ) and even the customers in Suntec offices.
Hope u do not have such a thought

hmm...i've visited the place 3 times....1st time there wasnt much of an impression, but then no unpleasantness of any sort too....
my next 2 visits were in aug & sept,
once was during lunch with my colleagues, and we fell in luv wif the chicken wings... =) the service was frenly and the staff were all attentive..
and bcoz i had a good exp wif them, i decided to bring another fren there for dinner the next mth....when we reached there, it was full, no place for us, so we were wondering if we shd go elsewhere or juz wait for the seats....Raymond who served us got our no. and suggested we go shop abit first...he'd give us a ring once a table was avail, and he said it's ok if we had already settled down elsewhere....well, eventually we still went back there for dinner lah...my fren was pleased with both the food and service....
on both visits we were served by Raymond and this malay waiter....they were polite, attended to us promptly, and answered our queries to the menu very patiently... *thumbs up*
On the whole, dining there had been a pleasant experience...and i'll visit them again!
Keep up the good job!
