  Been to Beijing before. Tried the duck dish. So so only.... Maybe that restaurant not so gd....

  Actually, Singapore's version of Peking duck is nicer than Beijing's..

  I have been to a few Quan Ju De in Beijing and Shanghai. I believe there are two grades. The fattier one cost more, but so darn succulent (and fat)....

  Muahaha Lei Garden...my colleagues went there to eat before (DAMN i am suppose to go cos its boss treat) and for four of them, the bill came to $800. WAH KAOZ.

  Hurhurhur, they did not eat anything from the menu. We requested the chefs to cook some special orders...but then thats because they had a VIP with us lah.... and we brought along some ingredients which they wanna try with the dishes, thats why i think so expensive.

  The real Peking duck i tried in Beijing is so good that i still dream abt it sometimes. hehe!
  
  The crispy skin is dipped into sugar and literally melts in your mouth.
  
  The meat is sliced v skilfully off the duck and each piece is almost equal in thickness.
  
  Duno how the china pple wrap, but i prefer the Singaporean popiah style.
  
  So far I hv not tried any in Sg yet cos dunno where is good enuff to be compare to the real stuff. dun wish to get disappointed and waste my time and $$.
  Better save the $$ for my next trip to Beijing.
