Ah Koon fishball beside the Mobil Station in JB City.Originally posted by Micky04:Then there is Ah Koon Fishball, ambience is not too bad, place is quite clean and hygenic by SG standards. A bit on the pricey side - a normal meal may cost you coming to RM$15 (bowl of noodles + ingredients and their signature fried fish cakes..)
I was told that they are so popular amongst S'poreans that they will advertise on Channel 8 their closing /opening times prior to CNY.
a few shop houses down the row from Ah Koon is a coffee shop selling Bak Kut Teh (the 'whitish' soup type) which is not too bad. At the other end of Ah Koon's row of shophouses is a Chinese seafood restaurant (Beijing Seafood or something) which is also not bad
yep...somewhere near there...Originally posted by PJ_Quek:ta ma hua yuan = Taman Seri Tebrau.
from JB City centre, turn right at the road junction in front of Crystal Crown Hotel, and you will find a Shell Station.
and beside the shop there is another shop selling "bah kut teh" also very nice...Originally posted by PJ_Quek:Turn right at the junction in front of Crystal Crown Hotel and you will be at Jalan Keris. Then turn left into Jalan Keris 1.
Drive straight all the way. Cross the longkang and you will be entering Taman Sentosa, you will see 2 "paper wrapping chicken" restaurants on the left side.
One shop sells at RM10 and the other sells at RM12 per chicken.

Seafood, along Jalan Stulang Laut (sea side road, opposite is Singapore), a few seafood restaurants can be found there.
Also Kampung Senibong in Bandar Baru Permas Jaya, access from Taman Sentosa, towards Bakar Batu and cross the bridge into Bandar Baru Permas Jaya and turn right at the traffic light junction, towards the Permas Jaya into the Permas Jaya condominum and you will see some signboards.
