Daughter gets $14m wedding -- with 6 Ferraris as dowry

A rich coal mine boss in Shanxi, China held a large-scale 70 million yuan (SGD14 million) wedding for his daughter on March 18, with six Ferraris as her dowry.
5-star Ritz Carlton, Marriott and Hilton hotels were booked for the wedding ceremony and three airplanes were rented to transport family and friends.
A lot of famous celebrities such as Wang Leehom, Elva Hsiao, Jay Chou and Fahrenheit were reportedly invited to perform at the wedding. The wedding concert was hosted by famous Chinese TV hosts, Zhu Jun and Zhou Tao.
It is reported that the bridegroom's father is a property developer in Hainan, China and the bride's dowry was 6 Ferraris.
The coal mine boss, Xing Libin is rumoured to have assets worth tens of billions. -

No need to jealous lah... this world cannot compare finish one... for every rich story like that, there's hundreds unheard tragedies like people no money to eat or no house to stay... the most important thing in life is to be content with what you already have, to bring about a natural joy and satisfaction into your life. I don't think Lions or Elephants go into depression because they cannot make $1k enough in order to buy their own HDB flat... just be content and thankful for what you already have =)

Well it's his money. If legally obtained, I see no reason why he can't spend it any way he likes.
Anyway when the rich spend money like this, it helps so many other people down the food chain. Hotels, restaurants, car dealers, waiters, service staff, the list goes on, all these people get jobs and business when the rich spends.
Better a rich man willing to spend rather than one who's a miser.
