Hi there,
I'm not part of the Hua Yi sch band but for the past 20 years, I've
heard numerous wonderful stories of the band as my Dad relived his old
pri sch days. Whenever he has a stick in his hands, he will start to
beat some rhythm and then he will start reliving his band days by
sharing with my sis and I his days in band (how the conductor was really
strict, performance, Brunei trip tt he couldn't go etc).
I could see how passionate my Dad was as a band member back then. He is
an introverted man who is pretty reserved, but once he starts talking
abt the band, he can go on forever. I'll never forget the smile he has
when he talks about this:)
He was a percussionist of the band and I'm very sure he would love to
meet the band members again. It would be really nice if all of the
members can play the instruments tgt again and reminisce the glory days.
Please let me know if there are any meet ups or anything I can do to
help gather all the alumni, it would be a pleasant surprise for my dad:)
Cheers,
Cherlyn
