feeling lost...

my mum was admitted to the hospital today for a mild case of stroke, and i guess, she will have to be hospitalised for quite sometime...a brain scan has shown a blood clot in her brain, causing her to be paralysed(hopefully temporary) on her left side and causing her to be in a semi-concious state...
her condition has stablised, and the blood pressure has gone down substantially...but something happened made me very scared...while the staff nurse was giving her a routine checkup, she called out to my mum, asking her to open her eyes just so she can check, but no matter how we shake or call out to her, she just wouldn't open her eyes...this went on for a while, until the nurse finally gave up, cos my mum was showing signs of feeling aggitated...at that point of time, i was getting worried...i was scared that what would happen if my mum...*touch wood*...
i am so used to having her around, everytime i misplaced my stuffs, i will ask her where the things are, even though she might not know...i'm so used to telling her "ma, wo chu men le" everytime i go out...the thought of not being able to do all those things one day makes me shudder...
but, that day will come, eventually, and hopefully by then, i'm brave enough to accept the truth...in the meantime, i wish for speedy recovery for my mum...

moreover my dad passed away 6 yrs back, tt made feel more repsonsible as a dotter

haiz...been up since 2+ in the morning...went back home ard 8+...slept for 2 hrs and den woke up...now feeling so tired...tomolo morning have to go back to hospital again...guess i better turn in early...

I guess i understand how you feel.
My Dad died after a year of being paralysed after he got a stroke. I did not even know if he could listen. All he could do was blink and his eyes were staring blank.
I felt so helpless for the whole year.
He really suffered a lot during that time because being bed ridden he lost weight and other complications.. he stayed in hospital half a year and the other half at home.
I was doing my O levels..
Talk about feeling lost. I rememebr the thing he wanted me to do was study hard and get to University and i did that and i am here now..
i feel sad that he can't see me graduate.
i do regret that sometimes i used to take things for granted that you never expect when someone will go, and it's too late to say you love that person.
If you have the chance do it now.
sometimes it might be awkward especially if you dun do it often.. so do something for for your parents instead or something. -

thanks everyone...my mum is out of the high dependency unit now...though she still needs medication to keep her blood pressure low...recovery may take time, but, i'm confident she can make it on the road to recovery...

after heard your real life story
it remind me of my father
he had stroke 2 years ago, and i almost cant accept it, cause he is so strong in my eyes
when he admitted to hospital, i spent most of my time in hospital and i let my studies down, l fail my perlims, almost all f9

at that moment in my life, i then relise that how weak humam are. i so afaid that i will loss him, i so afraid
i try to talk to him every day for about 2 week, but he had no respond. i am so tired cause i study in morning class, and rush down to hospital to look at him each day
and reach home about 10pm
i didnt told any of my friends cause i dont wish they worried for me.
so it went on like this for about 3 months,
just b4 my actual 'o'.
my father started to have respond.
i so happy and i actually cry there.
by then , my father told me that i need to buck up on my studies cause me is lacking behind lot due to his illness,
i listen to him, and i mamage to get into poly. all my teacher were very shock when they saw the difference between perlims and 'o'.
so what i try to say is that, u should continue your life, your mom wont be happy to c u destroying your own bright future.
so must be strong and face the reality. -

i not so lucky....my dad passed away 6 yrs ago. so no chance.....schwing...don worry...everything will b ok.

I am sorry to hear that your mother is sick. I'm sure that the staff at Hospital will take good care of her. Please call us if you need help.

Be strong Schwing. My mother almost died of cancer ten years ago. It was a very trying time for me and my family as well. I know how it feels like. Take good care of your mom from now on. Since she has blood pressure problems, try not to excite her. That's all I can say.

swching regards to u and ur family. i know how is it like to lose a loved one. i onli juz lost my father this year due to liver complication he wuz onli 52. be strong... remember that there is a time for everything in life and in death. god has a plan for each and everyone of us. trust and he will provide ..dun mean to preach but i guess u need a few words of support.
btw someone told me this word and after giving it thought it really helped.
