btw do u cycle? if u don't, give it a try, and u'll understand its hard to be a cyclist in singapore. some motorists have this kind of "they don't pay road tax so get away of the road" mentality, and purposely drive by very close to cyclists. -

wow. Good to see singaporeans are still humanely racist against my kind.
anywayz, cyclists are cool with me, local or white, coz unlike most locals, cyclists KNOW the roads and the routes in singapore.
e.g. If an average singaporean non-cyclist is having a party, he will not be able to guide you PROPERLY to where he lives. Unlike a cyclist who would be able to. The cyclers i know all know how to guide you to whereever it is they live or where u wanna go, unlike non-cyclists.
Ha if a dude ever cursed me while doing that i would run up to him and topple him off his bike and say "oops". -
i dunno why but i met a lot of angmoh cyclists in singapore that are SO VERY VERY RUDE! anyhow curse at people lor! don't even know what we did to offend them.
worse is, im a cyclist and i just find that there are too many bad cyclists that give the rest a bad name.
and then that makes the motorists hates the cyclists and you end up with a lot of accidents!
I just saw a taxi knock down a cyclist last week.
Haven't really feel like cycling much since... *sigh*

This evening i just met one Ang Moh driving a camry driving like his grandfather roads, zig-zag from 3rd to first and first to 3rd on PIE. I have to siam him and swirl pretty bad to avoid collision with him. KNN CCB. After i EYEBALL him side by side, he quai quai and slow down.
When u need a TP around, they are never around. When u don't need one, they are abundant...
For those Ang Moh that are reading this, IF U CANT BEHAVE, DO EVERYONE A FAVOUR AND LEAVE HERE, WE DONT WELCOME U.

i know some people who are working on petitioning for cycling lanes on the road and for them to finish the park connectors -
kae.. u need TP rite? got emergency TP telephone number for instances when u need TP on the scene immediately - 1800-5471818 - nxt time u see pple drive liddat.. follow him n call TP on the way (use headset dun hold fone n drive!) tell TP until like emergency.. mention something like "he's driving is so reckless that he could cause an accident maybe 10 mins later! n mention that a few cars nearly crashed thanks to him etc. then tell them ur location n etc. mebe TP will siren n lights come to ur aid.. n next time.. get a camera or vidcam in ur car.. take evidence.. useful in accidents also.. = )Originally posted by kops21:Some Ang Moh are FU&$%#$# RUDE. give cyclists a break.. look they are stuck between motorists and pedestrians.. firstly they are supposed to cycle on cycle paths or the road when no cycle path is available. but those MOTORISTS refuse to acknowledge a bicycle's right on the road. they expect cyclists to give way to them and get off the road. if not careful a cyclist can get killed cycling on the road.
so they try the footpath. wad happens? pedestrians also not happi. cyclists dun keep ringing wad. ring onli when got pple arnd or attract attention. its to save BOTH the pedestrian and the cyclist! unless he/she keeps ringing non-stop for no obvious reason la. hey there's always a black sheep somewhere. imagine if a bicycle is going really fast n suddenly he sees you (a pedestrian). would u want him to ring n warn u to get out of the way to avoid a crash or not ring at all n crash straight into u should his brakes not be efficient enuff to stop in time?

Hi,
I cycle round the island three times a week....each ride covers about 145kms.
To ride on our roads, cyclists have to be alert, ride in a safe and aggressive manner. When I say aggressive.....I mean you are entitled to your right of way. Ignore those freaking motorists who think that cyclists are 2nd class citizens on the roads.
If I am on my right of way and those rude & impatient motorists who keep on horning at me, I just ignore them. If they persist I show them my two fingers!
Don't be afraid, they can't run you down for sure unless they wanna be charged for homicide.
In short, cyclists who are too timid on the roads would usually end up getting bullied by some rude and inconsiderate motorists.

pavements are for pedestrians..
it is actually illegal for cyclists to be on pavement, jus tt they din enforce the law tt actively. what kind of damage u can cause someone if u walk into him and he's walking? as compared to someone being hit by a bicycle?!
and it's v irritating to walk and keep hearing ringing bells, cuz cyclists shouldnt even be there in the 1st place!! -
Only those ah peks, ah sohs, foreign workers and amateur cyclists ride on the pavements. They shud not at all!

I hate cyclist from India.
They like to cycle side by side, sometimes even 3 cyclist side by side, taking up 60% of a lane. You see this in near Sembawang Shipyard around evening time. -
