Should I go to Millennia Institute? I can qualify!!! HELP ME

i got l1r4 for 19.. checked the website i can qualify for MI and got confirm admission......
but..... i dunno if it is gd to go there or not
my hart will be at jc.. i always want to go jc...... but if anybody study there can gimme suggestions tat will b gd.
gd pts are tt it is less stressful n 3 year, ppl there are not nerds.. there may be chiobus there but bad pts are tt i may be leaving in 3 months so any frds i hav there, i will miss them, n also both MI (bartley n toh tuck) are veri veri far from my hse. i live in the north...
considering i nid to wake up damn earli every day to take mrt AND bus, n tt i will most likely go jc if i can, i realli dun feel like going. i told my dad i m not eligible by showing him the paper wich says u nid a1 or a2 for ALL the r4 subs if u get l1r4 for 15-20 but im veri veri sure it is a typo coz the website nvr say tt. i juz dun wan to disapoint him i noe he will b sad if i can go but i choose not to. he said it is my decision.... i have only until tomoro 4pm!!!!!!!

I was from MI when it was still two seperate Centralised Institutes.I got 17 points for my L1R4 and subsequently entered Jurong Institute, for the sole reason that I wanted to do my 'A'-Levels and not a Diploma.Mind you, it's not bed of roses to do a 3 year Pre U course.You still have to put in your best effort to make it to University.Some of the teaching may not be up to par to JCs but at the end of the day, if you depend too much on spoonfeeding, you will end up suffering anyway.Think independantly and do your own research.There will be people who are not motivated to do well there and you gotta stay focused on your goal.It's no joking matter if you spend 3 years and you have not got a 'A'-Level certificate which can get you into any university.
If you want a place where it's not such a pressure cooker environment,by all means, do go there.Whether you make it is up to you.The place can be quite close-knitted as students feel this general us-versus-them attitude and that usually pushes them to show that they can outshine their JC counterparts.But please make your 3 years count.I did my best and am going to NUS next year with 2 distinctions.Well, that's what I can say.There are other JI alumni people in SGForums hanging around.I'm pretty sure they can give you a clear picture of the place too.
The 'A' Level subjects offered are..
1. English
2. Geography
3. History
4. Physics
5. Chemistry
6. Economics
7. Mathematics C
8. Management of Business
9. Accountancy
10. Art
Geography is only offered at the Toh Tuck campus.

me in j1 now, all i can say is if u want to pursue an A level course then go to MI for the first 3 months, and choose the subjects u want wisely, it is possible to change subjects when u move to a jc after the first 3 months , but u must catch up with the work u have missed.

my sch is ri. i m a veri bad student. all those ppl r muggers. i dun realli study so i ended up like dis. but... i realli wld like to enter at least a decent uni coz i decided i had been foolin arnd for enuf.
i take 8 subs. all the ppl in my sch take 8, 9 or 10 subs some are geps (muggers) some r not. i got chinese, english, a/e math, all 3 sci n ss/hist. i m gd in e maths n english mayb onli so far, i screwed the rest up somehow.
being in a boys sch is hell. to me at least. i dun hav steady contacts wif any gal for a few years but.. i have NOT turned gay. i still like girls a lot n im a gd guy tt will do nething for his gf. i wan to get to know them better nxt yr n maybe get 1.
i will nvr go to rjc. i hate it n will probly not qualify. i want to go anderson jc (10 pts) and catholic jc (15 pts) or may be yishun jc (20 pts) or acjc if i can (10 pts).
rite now i m realli troubled by this i dun tink i will slp tonite. u c.. i dunno wat it will b like next yr..

how many sub must u take in MI? i noe i MUST take chinese coz i dun hav higher chinese. and oso english compulsary. so how many more subs?

erm generally for both jc's and Mi
its 3 A level subjects and 2 Ao subjects
in jc if u are good u can take 4 A level subjects if u want, but i think for the better jcs , u MUst take 4 A's.

haha ok. well honestly u should consider going to MI for the 1st 3 months 1st, because I seriously can tell u your O levels will definately improve. After that if u have the chance, move to a JC after the 1st 3 months. Oh I know SAJC may be a bit far for u but have u considered it? I'm not sure if they're still at alexandra rd now, or have they moved to their new campus. if they;ve moved, then they would be really close to u now. -
hm it doesnt matter, really usually your O level score will be better than ur prelims, so i think u can definitely go to jc after your O level score come out

i managed to pull up and got quite good...more then enough to go CI, rather choose poly..can beo chiobu..
instead of straining the eye to look at chiobu..

So you got 3 choices its either you go a JC tt accepts ppl with your score or go to MI. Simple mah. And use your heart not ur head in making this decision -

its nearest mrt is commonwealth n queenstown wich is quite far. can u tell me where the new campus is? or it tt the new campus. -

It should be me who should worry. I cant even qualify for both MI and JC. My only hope is to bang out at 12 for L1R4....
