The point of this thread is to ask me (a US citizen) questions about something or another you may have heard about the US. I'm not sure what you mean by saying the war isn't ours. Clearly the war is ours as we are the ones fighting it. If you followed the news you would have seen at the beginning of the war Colin Powell and GW Bush were throwing out all sorts of reasons to go to war including presenting evidence that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction, was harboring terrorists. Noting that, the 9/11 Commission which was responsible for investigating the 9/11 terrorist attacks found no link between Al Qaeda and Iraq. My belief is that Bush wanted to finish his father's war that was started back in 1991 during operation desert storm, and I also believe Bush has an interest in Iraqi oil.
I just hope when the Shi'ites take power this January after the elections they will ask the US military to leave. The war is very costly and I don't want my tax dollars supporting such a baseless war.and ya take on michael moore and bush?
