I still think his movies in the early 90s are still the best...
movies like, "tao xue wei long", "du ba (Gambling King)", "snooker king", etc are the best, even up to now, when TV repeat them, i still kept laughing at them!
Still remember Si Meng? The one that has a mole on the armpit, in his show gambling king? Haha... just so lame but it is so funny!!
Kung Fu hustle.. well.. a disappointment to me..

I feel tat xu guan ying, xu gan jie, xu guan wen, the three xu brother comedy is the best. Too bad nowadays dun have their show already.

Is there a difference between 'funny' and 'really funny'? If thre is, would it mean that there is a 'fakingly funny'?

Like I say before, you have to watch the Cantonese version.
Stephen Chow's jokes are not about his action or over exaggerated facial expressions. The essence of the joke is in the dialogue which is only present in Cantonese. Mandarin dialogue is just a blunt translation, to let the mandarin market (like Taiwan, China) understand the story.
Waiting for DVD. -

not really nice la...some parts of the show repeat the same as last time...erm...meanz..always use the same method..eg....show the butt out in the show...last time de show oso haf....but i tink he always use the same method make mi feel abit sianz...n think very low class too...like those who in the show make them like they very low class....haiz....abit let down.....

wah seh.... caught it last night with fog sao, damn letdown...
initially the show was quite good... the starting part, the dancing part of the axe gang... den as the show moves, the quality drops... it's like suddnely mr chow fly all the way up to the sky, met buddha who , well in wad i percieved, taught him the "buddha palm"...wo de tian ah... like tat also can......
my verdict... not worth my $8.50.. at most only woth $2.12 ( including GST 6%)
those haben watch one, save ur money watch other show instead. and get the dvd or vcd instead.... -

Caught the cantonese version in the theatre... quite enjoy the show. -
well, personally i think this movie is not bad lah, at least it does makes me laugh at some of the funny scenes...
this kinda thing is "jian ren jian zhi", most imptly is to enjoy the whole show!! -
kungfu hustle they use quite a few scenes from different movies right?? actually i find it lame but funny lor...... meet the fockers were all sexual humour.... i find it even lamer.... maybe i dunno how to appreciate those kinda jokes.

and hw the hell did dis show got the the 1st in box office takings.
