Poly lecturer very rich meh? how much they earn?

I found that most of the poly lecturer own a nice car!
I was wonder how much they earn permonth!

How much they earn will depend on their grade, seniority (Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, Principal Lecturer etc), experience and whether or not they're holding on to other appointments at the same time (Director, Deputy Director etc). It's not a flat pay scale for everyone.
But i would think the AVERAGE pay for a poly lecturer would be in the region of 7k - 10k. -

hmm..i dun think so. i heard from my lecturer, he say when he started to teach at poly( he part time lecturer when he first teach at that time) he only earn $2k a month.

Its not easy becoming a poly lecturer... For a salary range of 7k- 10k, you need a very good masters or phD ... plus an outstanding academic and leadership record if I remember

They'll have to start like other grads, probably 3-4k a month. -

fresh graduates ard $2500 to $3000 . i used to have a poly lecturer who earned ard $4000 ++ due to his Masters Thesis.
The average lecturer gets ard $5000 and above..this is just a modest salary i suspect. Like some of the other forumites says, those ppl with $7,000 and above are usually people who have worked in the industry, then wanting a change for the slower pace, hence join the teaching.
I noe some of the Business lecturers esepcially those in the B and F departments, some of the lecturers teaching stocks, econs were all ex fiancial analyst or stock broker, having made a pile, decided to take it easy for their lives and hence just do a lecturing job to pass time and earn some spare cash. -
