yes. its not advisable to engage in strenuous exercises just before you sleep. it is therefore recommended that if you need to exercise late, it should latest be in the evening. if not, then your late night exercise would have to be more moderate.Originally posted by thoreldan:i'm only free to go for jog at night (8-9plus)
after that i got problem going to sleep, like the heart still very active like that.

you feel less exhuasted at night, allowing you to take a longer jog.Originally posted by thoreldan:will it have any effect on my running?

really hard to find other time to exercise
no.. there should not be any adverse effects. only thing is that ippt is usually conducted in the day. although the differences should not be stark and substantial, you might feel you need a little more effort running in the day under the sun than at night.Originally posted by thoreldan:will it have any effect on my running?

but some people might have problems breathing, especially in areas full of trees.
my usual route is full of trees, when i started, there were some problems but i eventually grew used to it. really makes you learn to control your breathe.

the "heaviness" of the air at night should be caused by the humidity.
i like jogging at night too, but more of if i do it in camp. the only problem is the possibility of coming across with over-zealous wild dogs. but do remember to wear clothing with brighter colours when jogging on the roads at night.

Ultimately, it's still better for you to get back to at least evening jog.. I find that day and night jog is still somehow different in feeling... Especially when you're just a borderline case aiming for IPPT?Originally posted by thoreldan:will it have any effect on my running?
