A MSword problem

  Is anyone here good with the MS Word page number feature?
  
  I'm trying to insert page numbers for my document with multiple pages but I want Page 1 to start after the coverpage.
  
  I've tried for half an hour but still can't figure out the trick.
  Anyone?

  go to VIEW, the Header n Footer..n click page numbers.

  Wah, then have to edit all the numbers like seow after that. Might as well just put the coverpage as a separate document.

  That's my prefered method. But I have to have everything in one bloody file.

  Should try.
  
  Insert Page Number.
  
  Then There is an Icon on the Header and Footer Tool bar.
  Format Page Number. (with hand)
  
  Try that and see.

  if you use word2002....
  
  - go to insert page number.
  - uncheck "Show number on first page".
  - then click on format button.
  - start at 0.
  
  then the first page will not have number.
  the second page will be page 1.
