  urgent ! experts advice needed ... I just bought a konica Minolta Camera and try to connect to my pc via usb . But my comp wont detect the camera! My operating system is XP and my mother board is MSI 845PE .... thanks help is greatly appreciated thanks

  try installinmg the drivers via the CD??
  perhaps need a twain driver?

  Some cameras need to be on to allow the PC to detect it... did you check the manual for your camera on it?

  install the damned cam drivers

  try to manual detect the camera first...control panel then add hardware then ur os will search for uninstalled hardware then u can install from there.

  I also have a KM camera.
  
  Check it the camera end of the USB is inserted the right way.
  
  This problem occured to me when I just brought it, unti I realised that I've plugged the camera end wrongly....

  there is nothing wrong with the camera, your PC or the USB port. just install the driver.

  u got to check whether yr mainboard usb port is usb 1 or 2 ........ most of the digital camera now need usb 2 .........
  
  if this is the problem u can buy a usb 2 pci card and install it in yr pc

  I had an old scanner, using a usb 1 port. Got a new comp, with a usb 2 port. Using winxp, cannot detect scanner, ever again.
