  she apply for the Architecture course
  
  what will they ask duing the interview ??
  
  What to prepare ???
  
  if anyone know ... pls post here ......thanx

  Muz noes: Wad is architectural abt?; Wad does DE stands for? (tt farking sch of SP); Wads tt diff btw landscape architecture, interior design and architecture?; Wad qualities u posses tt u tink will make u a gd architect.
  Most likely u will see the director of DE (an archi grad). And ya.....u can say tt this farking sch has been changing its name over and over again juz to put more emphasis on designing and neglecting building

  Remember the chronology of their name changing,
  
  School of Civil Engineering and Building (CB)
  School of Building & the Environment (BE)
  School of Design & the Environment (DE)
  
  Shoot them this fact. They will sure be impressed as this show tt u haf read abt their history.
  
  e.g. hmm.....i can see that u all take pains to increase the prominency of design, judging by the fact tt ur management had change its name over and over again.

  the modular and teaching system is not good.
  it's architecture in name but in reality they still train the students as draftsman and this is already wrong. students should be trained as designers and inspired in creativity and design.
  the facilities are even worse; the computers are out of date, the students still have a printing quota of 100 when they need to print drawings and notes which is essential for them. and believe me 100 isnt enough at all.
  students are suppose to do a lot of things which are double work to finish their projects.
  actually there's a lot of negative stuffs that can be said about sp architecture. it's got inhuman deadlines to rush and only a few lecturers who are more human and got feelings one. it's really a feat to survive three years loh, a lot drop out after 3 months in year one.
  in fact the director is a lousy crap who does nothing but shows up on fire drills only.
  for those going into architecture; be prepared for things you havent thought u would experience
  exciting huh?

  Actually, from what I know, the computers there are the best among the whole school, and the printing quota is more than enough. As for the projects, you will have time to finish if you start work early.

  the computers are win xp but their system are ment for win 98.
  printing quota of 100 isnt enough when u have to print floor plans for models, sections and elevations and details for consultations and forms to fill and notes to revise. what's more the paper are supplied by the students.
  and the submission deadlines, from that line i know you arent someone in this course or design-related course. and with that i really cant explain to you how your work-early-can-finish acedemic based mentality isnt applicable.

  well you have to go through the three years to experience architecture. anyway, year one only use s5 i suppose, wait til u use the com in s2; they are crap.
  actually... sidetrack a bit; i see the year one boards pinned up along the studio on lvl 2... i thought the standard could have been better.
