Open university, anyone?

  I was a student from Open-U so of course I would say Open-U better

  how do u compare open Uni and local U??? btw being in SIM student they got issue to students student ezlink concession card or not... how long do u take to complete ur coz... wat coz r u in???

  some of my fren graduated from OUDP and the sad thing is that their cert is not recongnised by their employers.. .... DO your check with more pple before commiting your time and money

  1) Try local U first or u can apply local U & open U together.
  2) At the moment now, SIM is still a private institution, it will be become an offical SG 4th U after 2006. So, at the moment, there's no student ezlink concession.
  3) Normally, w/o exemtpion, the whole cos will take 3yrs
  4) I'm fr IS & Mgt

  yahx, thats one of the factor im afraid of, becoz i heard from alot that the cert is not as recognised.. and tts oso y i wanna noe more abt open uni..

  hmm.. since it will become an official 4th uni, so that means to say the certificate would be considered recognised rite? oh ya, can i check with u, isit true that i can actually send my first 5 semester results to local uni to see if i can get a place with them b4 graduating from poly? im currently a poly student, though only in my 2nd yr, im kinda worried.. so yeapz.. wanna noe more abt all these stuff now.. coz will be graduating next feb.. which is quite fast..

  Issit illegal not to recognise degrees that are recognised by the Govt?
  
  Besides, NUS and NTU degrees are recognised by Acts of Parliaments. But i cant find SMU Act anywhere.....
