according to experience (eerr....a few yrs ago i lose my 8210), mus make police report......
then they give u sim card FOC
but first time oni
2nd time u lost ur hp or sim card mus pay for replacement liao -
by terminating the line temporary till you get a new one by calling the service hotline immediately can help to prevent misuse by others. I lost mine last year but i have to pay for the replacement sim about less than 30bucks. The m1 officer said no need to call police.

replacement need. They will disable the line so people can't call through your sim card.
maybe free sim replacement are only for certain phone plans or new plans. not sure for this. -
