  its a progressive tax structure, meaning the more u earn, the more u pay. but even at the top tier, u only pay up to 20%.
  
  if u earn <$22k pa, u pay 0 tax.
  
  and dun forget u get to claim for reliefs, such as personal relief, CPF contribution rebates etc... so the chargeable income is likely to be much less than ur annual income.
