  Hi all
  
  im currently in the last 6 months of national service.... ording in nov this year... Had a diploma in IT from np (average C+) and its seems that this diploma allows me to go straight to the 3rd year in a couple of australian unis, qut... uq... curtin... will my degree (bachelor in Information technology (major in data comm)" be recognised if i decided to take the offer? anyone's been in the same situation before? what do you guys think of qut and uq?

  you're going to miss out alot if you go 3rd year straight.
  
  unless your only aim is the pangsai zua and not the education.

  Yes, recognized, coz I got pals who already graduated with the exact Bsc and currently working now. UQ or QUT, up to you lah. You want reputation or group of eight or what "sandstone" uni, also up to you lah.

  lots of people i heard in IT line cant find a job. FTs very strong in these areas

  if u dun clock some standard no. of hrs then i heard some stat board also dun recognised it.. straight to 3rd yr... abit kelong to them...

  as long as you study IT or engineering you're doomed to loose your job to india or china.

  what rubbish logic is that. does that mean that if you are good you dont even have to consider where or what to study. you definitely will be successful.

  i was from qut and took the data comms programme too. it is definitely recognize here and work hard should you go there. it is not easy.

  korrect. success comes more with hardwork and knowing wat u wan than choosing wat career is more popular. such things always change.
  
  if u wanna do somthing u jolly well go for it. anything else is secondary.
  
  if u wanna do it badly enuf...and wanna graduate quickquick...jump 3rd year la...why not? why waste time if dats wat u wan? no job openings?
  
  even if u got a good popular degree...if ur mentality sian-ji-bua still cannot perform wan.
