how come my bitcomet d/l so slow ?

  sometimes get a max of 10kb/s thats it..been hearing from some that they get 30-50 etc..far higher...
  
  how ? behind a SMC router/
  
  someone suggested changing to ports 6888 or 10000??? (10k ?)

  look at the speed of yer upload... make sure its lesser den yer download speed... i tink probably is the file you dling not enuff seeders or yer upload taking up much of the bandwidth

  i am using seeds like initial d sees from IDE which shld be faster than 3kbs ?
  limited upload to max3 kbs...

  Whichever port you configured your bitcomet to listen to, the exact port number on your router must be set open too.

  does it refer to my own ip address ?
  the private port and public port is it put the listening port?

  Let make things simpler. If you configure bitcomet to listen to port 9999. You set your comp ip thru the router to listen to ports between the range only of 9999 to 9999.

  try to limit your upload higher like 60 or 70% of your max upload.
  sometimes it depends on your upload speed too.
  
  but dun unlimit your upload or your connection will be really sux. it will eat up all your upload and u cant surf net.
