He's the first to return bride, says agency

MAYLE Marriage Agency claims it never pressured Mr Choo into choosing his bride.
Agency owner Simon Sim told The New Paper there had been no dispute between him and Mr Choo, until the latter called on 21 Jan to say he wanted to return the bride.
Mr Sim, 50, denied making the comments attributed to him by Mr Choo.
He also claimed he didn't tell Mr Choo that he couldn't return without choosing a bride.
Mr Sim added: 'How could he have been pressured into choosing the bride? When the family asked for an additional $400 dowry, he agreed to pay that without objections.
'That showed that he was willing to marry her.'
Since the agency was set up in January last year, Mr Sim said he has managed to matchmake over 10 Singaporean men with Kalimantan brides.
He claimed that Mr Choo was the first to send the bride back and demand a refund.
Mr Sim said he had advised Mr Choo to register the marriage at the ROM because Ms Tjong was holding a 14-day social visit pass.
She would have had to return to Indonesia had they not registered the marriage in time.
BRIDE 'SAD AND ASHAMED'
She returned home after her pass expired, said Mr Sim, adding: 'She was very sad and ashamed when she returned.
'She thought she was going to be happily married to a Singaporean but she ended up being kicked out of her husband's house after only two days.'
Mr Sim noted that Ms Tjong had stayed with Mr Choo in the hotel in Kalimantan after he picked her on the sixth day.
But when asked, Mr Choo insisted that the marriage was not consummated.
He said: 'I did ask her about it but she was unwilling. So I didn't do it as I wanted to respect her.'
Mr Sim has engaged a lawyer to represent him after Mr Choo lodged his complaint with Case.
He said he's not keen to resolve the dispute through mediation, as proposed by Case.
Mr Sim said: 'If Mr Choo wants to pursue the matter, he can do so by contacting my lawyer.' -
