Yeah, i believe your sentiments are shared by most (if not all) viewers. Maybe those shows are trying hard to be different, so that they won't be stereotype as shows that only end with a happy ending.

if you like happy endings then korean dramas are not for you. they love sad, pitiful endings.
anyway if the endings are always good it becomes predictable. then what is the point of watching. -
