Well the politically correct name that the authorities like us to call the casino : Integrated resorts
But I'd call a spade a spade, so its a casino no matter what the govt like us to think otherwise. I have a very bad feeling that it not only affects the gambling. I suspect there will be more vice being introduced to our country. Such as drugs, prostitution etc. -

I think all that "acting" that the govt comes across as working on the issue is just another wayang to convince the people its a correct move. The casino will worsen the drug and prostitution issue. there are more facets to the casino issue than just gambling issues. But the singapore system has always to cover all the dirt under the carpet and play/act that all is well through a controlled media. As to the 10K jobs but we all know that its not going to come to locals and the top posts will definitely not be a local and if its a local, its going to be a relative of Lee empire. I am not against the idea, its just incredible it took these politicians so long to get here. However, to simplify the issue to gambling is myopic and to think that having 10K jobs that is touted to create employment for locals is also stupid. To think that by doing this integrated resorts and 2 at the same time, would apeace the people who are angry at the party and help their election votes. And now, 2 casinos. Would they compete against each other like our media companies and become white elephants needed to be merged? Or should they just build one massive one and concentrate their efforts on being a strong competition against genting, star cruises and such things. The kind of decisions that is made, and the media PR to generate feelings of well being... Beyond all that, its is troubling. To me, I am a no body. But see beyond all that. I sense there's a lot of bad management and decisions. But as I said, who am I to question the Lee's and their relatives at trying to enrich themselves further. Yes. I brought that up somewhere about the cruise and genting... I am hoping for the price to drop... So that I can go on cheaper trips to these places
