F*** UP Manager.

This incident happen when i finished my Os last yr and i went to work part time.
I work @ this Coffee Company something like Starbucks but its not. Starts with Letter S also. lol. Shant name it.
Its my first time working in a cafe and it was really interesting see how they handle various coffee drinks. Im located @ somewhere @ Shenton way near Lau Pa Sat.
There is this Area Manager whom i shall name Tomboy. Cos she look like one.
First impression she gave mi is. "Im so gonna suffer". Indeed she really did make mi suffer alot. And this is wat she do to mi.
1) Im being paid 4.50 an hr and im ask to take a pot of soup from Somerset branch back to the Raffles Place branch where im working w/o any extra pay for my transport thru fro.
2) 1 day im ask to work morning shift. As in the morning we usually haf slam which means do lots of coffee. Im a noob in slamming especially make hot drinks like latte and stuff. She actually cursing mi like hell softly in my ears as theres lot of customer be being a slow poke and clumsy. Im so freaking demoralised after that.
3) 1 evening she came back to do a closing spot check on me. She actually make a big fuss about small micro dust ( i practically cant c a shit at all when she show mi) and make mi clean the whole place again by myself. (closing is 1 person do) . And then im suppose to knock off at 8 in the end 8.45pm.
4) As area manager she is above me.Luckily i have my manager beside me. manage usually will help mi to wash cups and clear tables. But that Tomboy didnt really help mi alot during my work and all she do is sit around or walk around. I did ask if she mind to help mi a little and she say its my job. leaving mi will hills of dishes to wash,drinks to make and tables to clear.
I quit my work after the nite when she did a spot check on my closing.
So guys, if u happen to wanna work for cafe. Pls dun go shenton way area there. Who knows u r next. -
i also same as u, but not as services indust.me work in manufacturing..also same case finish O lvl.part time worker...those long term auntie see u newcomer will call u do this do that lor..then a bit no good will kbkb u until i sian then quit.

working is like dat one lah bo bian must see ppl face colour..esp u teenagers or part time worker..those long term ppl(older ones) or manager will always see u beuy song one.donno why.

You actually asked the area manager to help you? They're are already considered hardworking when they show up in their area cafes or restaurents.
Of cos, area managers are not made to be area managers for nothing.
Most climb up the post over the years starting off as assistant manager, or even, just a crew. They've been thru everything just like you. Their expectations are high. This is work life in the f&b service line. -
