What does a person from High Society like?

Scenario....
You organise a high society function, attended by Tai-Tais and Ministers and their wives. You want to make the evening more exciting for those who attend. So you decide to do a lucky draw.
What kind of prizes do you think will excite them? -
basically anything is fine
they are not ji jiao about lucky draw prizes bcos they have money, they can buy anyting they want
rice-cooker they oso happy one, i tell u -
Excite them? Shopping vouchers always makes my folks day. Tangs vouchers are one thing, but the NTUC ones go a long long way.

Rich people mostly 99% of them got their $$ thru hardwork.... -

I also think Lucky Draw not meant for rich tai tai. They have everything.
You give them prizes, they will have to think where to put them or how to discard them.
But then, somebody above me doesn't think that way. sighhhhhh -

Government officials and their immediate families are not supposed to receive any personal gifts, payments, etc. There is actually nothing wrong with winning something at a lucky draw, but to prevent scandals, they can't accept any prizes. As for tai-tais....hahaha.....I personally know some (my own personal friends or my mother's friends). They may be rich (some only act rich), but many are ngiow and kiam-siap until words also cannot describe. For many of them, if they see a 10-cent coin in the middle of the highway, they would probably run across and try to pick it up.
I know of this tai-tai who drives a Jaguar, but goes to this certain cafe in town at 8:45 pm to wait.....wait wait wait.....till 9:00 pm, when the cakes are cleared at half-price.
For tai-tais, the best is to get something not overly expensive yet exclusive (ie. something different, not easily available to the public), or something which money cannot buy.....for example:
- Give tickets to a show/musical (eg. PCK The Musical) and try to arrange private tea with the actors and maybe some autograph signing (at the interval or after the show). This is of course not easy, but not impossible either.
- Tickets to best seats SSO concert (they cannot reject because they're supposed to be high-class and claim to listen to classical music, etc....although they know nothing more than I do). Once again, try to organise a private tea with the orchestra members, etc.....and watch the tai-tais try to pretend to talk about classical music.
- Lunch for her and her family served in a suite room of a downtown hotel. You can use the same hotel suite for tea and dinner for other tai-tais who have won prizes. I'm sure this can be easily arranged with the hotel. If you do this, please let me use the suite at night.
- etc. etc.
(Maybe the above are not good examples, but I think you get the gist of it. Sorry, too lazy to think of any further examples now.). -

Money to charity in their names? heehee... don't give them any money but if they win, put a cheque in their names to charity of their choice sort of thing?
err uhh.. or... i heard the current trend with rich tai tais is to give each other plastic.. surgery...... how about a plastic surgeon 50% discount? -

if u give them concert tix, they most prob wun have time or wun bother to make time to go.....they busy with mahjongs and other social events to attend.....
and it was the tai-tai tt kindly inform me tt got UOB credit card promo.....show uob credit card and buy $1 coffee at coffee bean....
and another tai-tai told me about standard chartered bank giving out free sasha bear to ppl who sign up for their cc at roadshow....and she relli went to sign up bcos she want the sasha bear while she oredi has SCB card.....

oso depending on wat kind of sponsors u can get....
mine was a country club event....so i had to pacify golf widows, at the same time, make the men happy with free golf balls and umbrellas and towels and free time @ driving range....they love ashworth vouchers and the club credits to redeem at the club restaurant....
wine is oso good....cigars....samsonites......
