i've problem with my english .. i always get d7-f9 for my english .. i cannot communicate with pple who speak english ..
i already tried reading newpaper everyday .. i even checked the dictionary on those chim vocabs which i couldnt understand ... but still , my vocabs are limited ..
when i talk to a person face to face using englsih , i tend to stammer .. ( maybe thats the reason why i dont have many friends .. girls especially ) .
i tried talking to wall everyday .. but it's all to no avail ..

You are trying to hard to impress them. Don say too much. Make short conversation, then longer talks when you are more confident.

try reading books and novels and magazines. the effect isnt immediate but it's a long term thing.

lol, i dont speak to people at all, speaking is overrated. I just keep quiet and stay by myself and think, thinking is the best, talking is the worst. if you wanna learn chim words, just play lots of computer games, I learnt all my chim words from games, whahahaha!!!! -

thats pretty hard to believe.. from what i have seen you post.. ur english owns a fair number of people on this forums.. i guess the best way to be good at something.. is to do that thing

1. Read more english novels
2. Do your best to speak and type in proper english instead of switching to singlish. Take note of your sentance structure.
3. No use looking up the dictionary only. Make attempts to use the new word you learnt in an actual conversation.
4. Speak slower if you have to, to articulate your words. Helps with your stammering.
5. Keep calm and cool when speaking English. The idea is to appear confident no matter how bad you think you sound.
6. Sign up with the Toastmasters Club. You'll be forced to make speeches

Seriously, I think your problem isn't really with the language but with your confidence. Maybe you need to stop minding too much about what others think of your English, and just talk. And talk. And talk. -
Another way is.....join Club 30 outings Everyone speaks english there

See a speech therapist abt your problem.
It can be corrected.
Improving your Eng. u should listen to BBC, read Readers' Digest, novels, TODAY newspaper, watch Channel News asia or CNN etc.
Don't watch TCS5 esp. Mark Lee or Gurmit Singh or any TCS actors cos their pronunication sucks! -

the trick now is to LISTEN TO WHAT YOU ARE SAYING. and SPEAK SLOWLY.
take your time to think about the proper sentence before speaking.
