if she is doing a PC custom built (i reckon so such u are bringing up the mainboard manufacturer ASUS), better consult the user manual. i am using MSI borad so at start up quickly press 'delete' to stay in the blue screen before the system goes into the OS. look for first boot device, second boot device, 3rd boot device and play around with your setting until u get the cd-rom to be yr first boot device.......should be idiot proof
