  Finasteride is a prescription drug in Singapore, and should be so in Malaysia as well.

  Get from the smaller pharmacies. Don't go to places like Guardian in JB. They practise the same rules as Singapore there.

  One of the reasons why Finasteride is a prescription drug is because it is not for use in women. If your friend is female, she should not take this medication as it may affect her ability to conceive.

  Better still, go to Bangkok. You can get really powerful antibiotics over-the-counter as well
