If you take bus in Suntec/Marina Centre on 27 Apr, pls read

To facilitate JP MORGAN CHASE CORPORATE CHALLENGE, the following bus services diversion will take place on Wednesday 27 April, from 3pm to 8pm in Suntec City, Marina Centre and Padang areas.
3pm to 8pm
- Services 100, 107, 130, 131, 167, 608 and C2 skip Connaught Dr and diverted via Esplanade Dr towards Collyer Quay. Services 167 and 608 will not call at the stop outside Clifford Pier along Collyer Quay.
- Service 75 will be converted to loop service and operates between Bt Panjang interchange and Finlayson Green, skipping Marina Centre.
5pm to 6.45pm
- Services 10, 70, 97, 100, 107, 130, 131, 162, 167, 196, 608, 700 and C2 skip Esplanade Dr and diverted via Stamford Rd, North Bridge Rd, South Bridge Rd, Pickering St, Church St and Finlayson Green towards Raffles Quay.
5.50pm to 6.15pm
- Service 36 (in the direction of Orchard) skips Suntec City/Marina Centre and diverted via Rochor Rd and Beach Rd.
- Services 97, 111, 133, 502, C2 skip Temasek Ave and Raffles Ave and diverted via Temasek Blvd, Rochor Rd and Beach Rd.
- Services C1 and C3 skip Raffles Ave and diverted via Temasek Ave, Temasek Blvd, Rochor Rd and Beach Rd.
- Service 56 will be converted to loop service, and together with service 195, skip Raffles Ave and diverted via Temasek Ave, Temasek Blvd, Rochor Rd and Beach Rd.
- Services 77, 106, 171, 857 and 960 will be converted to loop services and loop via Bras Basah Rd, Nicoll Highway and Stamford Rd, skipping Suntec City/Marina Centre.

But I must pity the bus captain for Sv 195... Macham like that bus will run non stop from Suntec (Loop) - C'wealth Dr (Loop)

Refer to today's Business Times, you would notice again, only SMRT svs are indicated
Even when the Orchard Rd diversion for a parade, only SMRT svs are indicated...

today, waiting for bus 36 in front of centennial tower...
waited for 10 minutes, still not coming yet at 6:10pm.
Somehow, one lady stood in front of bus stop and said that bus will not come anymore because of the road block...and people started leaving the bus stop..
Then i thought of the info gave by this thread.. and thought that this is true...
so, crossed the road heading for MRT..
Suddenly, bus 36 just arrived at the bus stop... i rushed.. too late, could not catch ...
ka na sai!!! the stupid lady gave wrong info..
And without this thread, i might not believe the stupid lady....
aiyah.... then i waited for another 15 minutes again!!! ai hao... -

Only service 36 buses coming from Marine Parade towards Orchard did not enter Suntec/Marina Centre area during the diversion period. The return route from Orchard towards Marine Parade remained unchanged. -

moral of the story: don't listen to strangers... which I should follow as my mom keep telling me when i was kid. -
You can actually look at the bus diversion posters at bus stops put up by the bus companies, they inform passengers which are the affected bus services and their diverted routes. Were there any bus companies staffs at the bus stop? There was one SBS staff in white uniform at the fountain area signaling the drivers (except those driving service 36) to turn left instead of going straight towards Centennial Tower.
