Everytime I see a city bus with the big axe oil advertisment they just seem to be driving around doing nothing. What are they for actually? They don't stop at bus stops or anything...
They are buses which ply in the city only. There are 3 routes namely C1 (Orchard - Marina Centre), C2 (Chinatown - Suntec/Marina Centre) and C3 (Little India - Marina Centre). Operates daily from 10am to 10pm. Charges $1 a trip regardless of distance.
The buses now have new adverts in addition to the axe oil adverts.
The buses, of course, stop at bus stops, but only at selected bus stops along the route.
Why so few people? Because they are mainly doing tourists' business, but tourists prefer to take the hippo double deckers, which are open top and have tour guides.
