Do you think having a degree is a MUST??

Why are so many people moving on to having a degree? DO you think its a must to have a degree?? Is private degree that good?
It seems very stressful when surrounding pple are all degree graduates....

We all strive to excel in the paper race...n gtin a degree is proof os our results in the race...this cannt be avoided...
Its doesnt promise U successes in Ur job in future...but at least it gives U more leverage in finding one...it all depends on Urself...
Everyone is too caught up in the paper chase...

the job market is becoming more and more difficult. just ask yourself this simple question. if everyone has a degree but you dont why would an employer want to offer you the job? -

I am feeling suicidal because everyone of my friends have 1st class honors, a masters and a phD while i only have a crappy 2nd lower...

will you prefer a person with degree and diploma or someone with only a diploma...
you get advantage over the guy who does not have degree wat...
plus starting pay is higher also...

If it's for academic interest then i will say go for it.
talk to your husband over it. an alternative may be a distant masters programe. -

In the pass, having a degree garantee you a high paying job. The mentality remain while the world changes.. It is good to have one now that every one is pursueing it. A private one must consider the acceptance of the government lor. I got a friend who got a private degree from SIM. When she apply for a teaching post with MOE, her's application is placed behind "A" level.
