get a windows disk ready,
1)go some webby look for step by step procedure
2)go dos mode type format c:/
3)confirm ur choices
4)wait for it to finish
5)put in disk
6)restart com, run with cd-mode
7)follow the steps they tell uconfig com
done ~
or u could just defragment to save ur precious files... -
yeah.. it quite complicated if you dont know how to do, i watched my bf format the pc before. He got 2 harddisk, you got to know which one is master and which one is slave and for this information,you need to look at ur harddisk and find the information online. This is what i ask before in another forum and someone told me what to do , you can try to figure out if not you got to ask someone who is gd to help you out. Gd luck
A. Try to acquire another HDD with OS installed*.
B. Connect the newly acquired HDD into IDE1 as Master, then connect old and new HDD into IDE2's Master and Slave.
C. Boot up and backup all the files you need. (Burn into CD/DVD or Transfer to another HDD)
D. Reformat and do a clean install for the HDD that has the damaged OS.
*You may have to reinstall the OS while the newly acquired HDD is connected to your com, some hardware-to-software conflicts might prevent boot up.
