SMU interview? what is it about..

ANyone studying in SMU or have been to their interviews.. what is it like? what questions they asked.. can give me some tips? cos mine is on this comin sat.. thank you..

for accountancy, it's one-to-one.
for business, is in groups of about 7....
they will give you an article to read, then comment on it.... -

Last time I went for the accountancy interview, they just chit chat with you. More or less want to see whether you can speak and are confident. My friend got an offer on-the-spot at the interview.
We both turned them down. -

but dont try to be too proactive and talk too much... try to listen also and at least pretend you are analysing what the ppl are saying... -

Actually, last year I saw signs around NUS Business School for directions to the Undergrad interviews so maybe there are interviews liao. Not very sure though...
NUS Bizad is pretty constrained by the NUS administration. Alot of things cannot do. Last time, a couple of friends and I went to see the vice-Dean but their hands were pretty tied.
Plus, you realise that all the news about SMU is pretty biased right. If NUS or NTU wins something big, they won't get as much coverage as SMU. Look at it this way, when Singapore government do things - they will go all out to make it succeed. SMU is so new and it's first few batches of students were mostly those who couldn't make it to NUS or NTU. They need all the help they can get. Even at the expense of the other local unis... for now, anyway. -

SMU=grossly over-rated school.
I have many friends there complaining about the lack of learning value.They produce good/confident speakers,but not intelligent ones.Empty vessels normally make the most noise.
I think NTU's business school may lack the "style" SMU has,but it's awefully good.Very rigorous.Calibre of students in Accounting fac comparable to law fac in terms of A-level results.But student's there lack confidence to be vocal.But the school is working in that aspect.
NUS biz admin fac has a mixture of both brilliant and mediocre students.I know genuises as well as bimbos studying under one roof.But I've heard their cirruculum is rigorous as well.
I i were picking a school,I'd leave out the first one on this list purely because i feel their grads are "half-baked" in terms of academic knowledge. -
