Pre-Nuptial Agreements enforcable in singapore?

Giving woman so much protection in the past maybe make sense, but in today's world, so many women are more powerful than man financially and even physically..
I think its time for The Woman's Charter to do some changes.. What do you think?

From what i understand.... the woman's charter will over-ride (or is there a more suitable legal term), any pre-nuptial (spelling) agreement....
so if any guy wan to prepare one of these to "protect" himself and his assets.... forget it. -

maybe something should be done to discourage it...
why get married and be prepared to be divorces at the same time? -

I think the main problem is that when you have a charter, you protect those who need it and those who abuse it.
Ultimately it boils down to each individual and should the underprivilaged be denied help because a few people abuse it? -

If you know anyone doing social work, they're likely to know of a few such cases. -
i dont know about the charter in detail. how do the court determines which side pays the maintenance? or is it alway the man pay, regardless of financial status.
