asia hotel is gd. very very near MBK can walk.. near the sky train also can go chatchuchak.

try pathumwan princess hotel, located inside mahboonkrong. very big room. otherwise, the novotel also not bad, located around siam square.

As for how hot? I presume you are asking about weather... just went during mid April, it's about 37 deg C in the afternoon.
